How long do strangers talk?
The first minute decides a lot. After five, people rarely want to stop.
Many calls are short: someone says hello, hears a voice and moves on, which is exactly how meeting new people works in real life too. The median call lasts 27 seconds. But once a call passes the first minute, the median jumps to 4.2 minutes, and 230 calls (13.6%) went past five minutes.
